Prices Are Going Down — Because Quality and Efficiency Are Going Up
I’m lowering the price of all Full Control Packages and Flap & Spoiler Systems by $10, and it’s not a gimmick — it’s the result of real improvements behind the scenes.
Over the past few months, I’ve made a number of upgrades to how these throttle systems are designed, built, and shipped. Not to cut costs at the expense of quality — but to improve both.
Here’s what’s changed:
Lettering that lasts: The knobs now feature integrated lettering printed directly into the part — no paint to run, fade, or smudge over time. It looks more realistic, stays clean, and still preserves the smooth, comfortable feel without raised text.
Streamlined component sourcing: I’ve switched to more reliable and easier-to-acquire parts, meaning fewer supply chain delays and less time chasing vendors — so orders ship more consistently, and you get your gear faster.
Smarter assembly features: Updated internal designs reduce the chance of build errors and improve the long-term reliability of each unit.
Cleaner prints: Dialed-in settings and hardware upgrades are yielding smoother, crisper parts — with better surface finish and tighter tolerances.
I’m proud of what’s improved — and I want these improvements to translate into more throttles in more hands. That’s why I’m passing the efficiency gains back to the community, not pocketing them.
Here’s another thing: If you’ve ordered within the last month, I’ve already been shipping orders with these improvements—you aren’t missing out, and in fact, you were probably already ahead of the game.
Thanks for supporting a company that builds with intention, not shortcuts. Blackbird exists because of this community, and that's why I'm committed to making it easier for more people to enjoy a quality product.
Best Regards,
James V.
